Job Description:
· The Senior BI Technical Lead will be responsible for designing, constructing, testing, optimizing and deploying solutions that transform data into meaningful and useful information for business purposes.
· The Business Intelligence Consultant will provide the vision on data strategies and sources, technologies, and best practice reporting and analytics capabilities.
Major Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement business intelligence & analytics to support organizational initiatives
· Analyze business requirements to design and develop optimal technical solutions using approved tools and methodologies
· Support full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements, design, development, testing, implementation, and training for building BI solutions
· Drive pragmatic approaches to solving key complex business problems through a variety of business intelligence tools. Ability to bring the right data technique to solve the problem in an explainable manner to business partners
· Grow the data and technical environment by researching new technologies and techniques to create efficient process around data extraction, security, aggregation and analytics, and governance
· Execute advanced data analytics models with effective and practical short- and long-term actionable solutions
· Estimate solution cost (including tools, tasks, complexity, resources and time)
· Collaborate with internal business units to better understand needs and provide necessary support
· Work with power users of the analytics/reporting tools to advice on best practices for the business Intelligence reporting
· Document and maintain BI solutions
· Data Warehouse, Power BI, Growing an environment
· Exposure working in an AWS or Azure environment
· Someone who can provide solid examples.
Position Specifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or business intelligent or a related field, and eight years of relevant work experience
· Experience with a variety of business intelligence tools and applications, such data visualization, data mining and analytics, ETL/EDW, data processing, and data storage tools
· Ability to write SQL queries, PL/SQL, and experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases
· Experience with ETL processes and tools such as SSIS, Informatics
· Experience in design and development of data warehouse, data marts, and data lake technology stack
· Experience in utilizing cloud technologies for building BI solutions
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Design, implement and maintain Microsoft Power BI dashboards.
• Need ability to review data and develop the best visualization for that data.
• Test all technical solutions per functional specifications.
• Provide feedback to business and management relative to requirements.
• Participate in design/discovery sessions and workshops with end users.
• Provide overall status for object readiness.
• Develop reports using SQL Server Reporting Services.
• Document functionality, prepare training material and conduct user training.
• Development in .NET (ASP.Net \ Angular)
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related analytical or technical disciplines.
• Strong visualization skills.
• 5+ years of experience working with SQL and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• 1-3 years of experience working with Microsoft Power BI.
• Ability to create database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures and triggers.
• Expert at tuning SQL objects (Stored procedures, views and queries).
• Strong understanding of ETL concepts and best practices.
• 3+ years of ERP techno-functional experience / overall experience on IT projects.
• Current experience with data governance and /or data migration.
• Ability to adapt to changing environments and learn new skills quickly.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities; exceptional time
• Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to partner, influence, consult and collaborate with all levels in the organization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
